AI-powered, clinically validated mental health monitoring tool
MoodMon is a first-in-class solution for objective monitoring of a patient’s mental state. It detects significant mood changes by analyzing voice parameters and alerts patients and healthcare providers, enabling timely, personalized treatment management. Built for clinicians who demand precision and trust and for patients who want to track their mental health objectively.

System
What is Moodmon?
MoodMon is an AI-powered digital solution designed to support the therapy of patients with bipolar disorder and recurrent depression. It is currently undergoing certification as a CE-marked Class IIa medical device.
Intended for already diagnosed patients, it enables continuous, objective monitoring of their mental state and early detection of changes.
MoodMon analyzes behavioral parameters, detects significant changes in mental condition, and generates automatic alerts for patients, clinicians, and designated caregivers. MoodMon is designed to become a first-in-class tool for objective mental health monitoring.

Process
How the system works
MoodMon is a clinical support system designed for patients with diagnosed affective disorders who are under professional medical care. It complements therapy by providing continuous, objective monitoring of the patient’s mental state.
Through the mobile application and connected devices, MoodMon collects behavioral data such as voice parameters, physical activity, sleep patterns, and phone usage. Voice acoustic features are transmitted to the system and analyzed by the AI engine. Other data are visualized for clinicians perusal.
Using proprietary algorithms, the AI continuously evaluates these signals to identify potential changes in the patient’s mental condition. When a significant change is detected, the system generates an automatic alert.
Alerts are shared with the patient, the treating psychiatrist, and designated caregivers through their respective platforms. This enables timely contact, clinical assessment, and, if needed, adjustment of therapy.
MoodMon supports early intervention and personalized care by combining objective data with clinical expertise. It is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace medical judgment but serves as a reliable decision-support system for clinicians and patients.

Validation
Clinically validated medical technology
MoodMon is not a lifestyle application – it is a clinically validated medical solution developed and evaluated in accordance with rigorous regulatory standards.
Its clinical evaluation is based on proprietary clinical study data, a review of current scientific literature, and safety data from comparable medical devices.
A prospective clinical study was conducted to assess the safety and effectiveness of MoodMon in patients diagnosed with depression and bipolar disorder. The system uses machine learning to analyze voice data, enabling early detection of relapse or significant changes in mental state.
The study was carried out in two phases: an initial observational phase for model development and training, followed by a validation phase assessing real-world performance and alert generation.
Across more than 31,000 daily predictions, MoodMon demonstrated high predictive accuracy:
No serious adverse events or device-related safety issues were reported, confirming a strong safety profile.
The clinical evaluation was conducted in compliance with MDR (EU) 2017/745 and relevant MDCG guidelines, as well as Good Clinical Practice (ISO 14155).
